Busy week for the Bobcats! Schedule changes because of weather can be found under Spring Sports. |
Robert F. Munroe Day School provides its K-12 students with a college preparatory
educational experience in a unique and beautiful environment in Gadsden
County. In an era of metal detectors and school resource officers
in too many Florida schools, our students are part of a safe and supportive
campus community where the teacher/student ratio is 1/15 and teachers
are deeply involved in both classroom and extracurricular activities.
Founded in 1969 in Mt. Pleasant, Florida, the campus is nestled among majestic
oaks and tall pines in a relaxed country setting. The campus houses academic buildings,
including a library and a well-equipped science lab, a student center for lunches
and meetings, and a recently renovated gymnasium. Robert F. Munroe Day School is accredited by the
Florida Council of Independent Schools.
RFM offers a well-rounded
curriculum, which is based upon strong language arts and reading programs. Munroe's
course offerings provide an excellent background for post-secondary education,
including dual-enrollment college courses. We offer honors courses in math, science,
and English. We have a broad-ranging history program with courses spanning ancient
civilization to current events. In addition to academic courses, RFM also offers
a fine arts curriculum including both visual arts and music. We have a journalism
course that consistently produces award-winning yearbooks.
While maintaining
a small teacher/student ratio RFM still provides a wide variety of extra-curricular
options including a full sports program for all students. We also have clubs supporting
service to school, community, and nation. They include our award winning Anchor
Club, Junior and Senior Beta Clubs, Student Council, Key Club, the Fellowship
of Christian Athletes, and Students Working Against Tobacco. |
