TUITION PAYMENT PLANS AND POLICIES
Payment Methods
PLAN I: Payment in full. (Due with application.)
PLAN II: SMART Payment Plan – New Plan Enrollment.
For first-time enrollment or to make changes to existing payment method, a SMART Payment Plan form should be completed and returned with application. There is a $43.00 nonrefundable administrative fee per family due with the enrollment form.
PLAN III: SMART Payment Plan – Reenrollment.
For existing SMART payers who wish to maintain the same payment plan, no SMART forms for reenrollment are required. There is a $38.00 nonrefundable administrative fee per family due with the enrollment form.
All families, except those that will make full payment in advance, are required to participate in the SMART program. A SMART tuition payment plan form must be completed and returned with the application.
The SMART payment plan offers the following options:
Payment Frequency -- Monthly (March through February), Quarterly (April, July, September, and January), and Two-Payment Plan (April and September).
Payment Due Date --10th, 20th, or 30th
Payment Method -- By automatic deduction from your bank account or by check or money order (a coupon book will be provided).
Under the SMART plan, payments will be established based on the number of months available under the contract year at the time of enrollment. A contract year begins in March and ends in February.
Terms & Conditions
Late Charge -- A late charge of $15.00 will be assessed to an account if any payment is not received within 10 days from the payment due date.
Late Application Fee-- A late fee will be due on applications received after March 1 as follows:
After March 1 $ 50.00 non-refundable late fee per student.
After April 1 $100.00 non-refundable late fee per student.
After May 1 $150.00 non-refundable late fee per student. Late application fees do not pertain to new families entering RFM. No late fees will be assessed on applications received by March 1.
Delinquent Account - RFM considers the education of its students very important and relies on the timely payment of all tuition and fees to operate smoothly. A child may be prohibited from attending school if his/her account is more than 60 days delinquent. If at any time a delinquent account cannot be brought current immediately, it will be up to the parent or guardian to contact the school to avoid any interruption in the student's education. In the event of collection, interest at the rate of 1 ½% (18% per annum) or the highest rate applicable by law will be assessed on the finance balance due at the time of collection, including any attorney fees and/or costs that may be incurred as a result thereof.
In addition to the above, a student's records will not be released to another school unless the remaining financial obligation is paid. No senior will be allowed to participate in commencement exercises or graduation unless all tuition and any outstanding fees have been paid. Any student with a delinquent balance at the end of the school year will not be admitted for the next school year until the account has been paid in full.
Financial Obligation – After August 1, 2010, all applicants will be legally obligated to pay the full first semester's tuition as the school has reserved space for the student in reliance on the enrollment application. No refund of tuition or fees will be granted unless the parents, the legal guardians, or the student moves from the county where they were living when the application was submitted. If a student withdraws at the conclusion of the first semester for reasons other than the family's relocating, the family is liable for ½ of the second semester tuition. If a student leaves during the second semester, no refund of tuition money will be given. If a student withdraws at any time, whether prior to August 1 or any time during the school year, a letter must be written to the Headmaster stating the reasons for withdrawal.
Any new student who is placed on academic probation and who is not academically successful during the probation period will have the tuition refunded on a pro-rated basis determined by his or her last day of enrollment. |
